Animal Agriculture uses 1/3 of humanity's fresh water

Animal agriculture consumes up to 1/3 of all fresh water used by humanity in the world.


The remaining 2/3 is used for human drinking water, growing other food crops and all other uses.

Only 4% of global fresh water is for use at home.
